The 23-year-old winger signed a five-year contract and aims to help Arsenal challenge for the Premier League and major honours.
Despite excitement around his arrival, thousands of Arsenal fans opposed the move online, even launching a petition against the transfer.
Critics questioned his Chelsea ties and inconsistent performances, but Madueke remains confident: “This move will be a great success.”
“I go with my gut,” he added. “It’s worked for me so far. I’m proud, excited, and ready to contribute.”
Madueke joins Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Christian Norgaard, with Cristhian Mosquera also expected to sign in the coming days, reports Independent.
The Gunners are also pursuing Viktor Gyokeres, though no agreement has been reached on the £65m-rated Sporting Lisbon striker.
Former England defender Rio Ferdinand blasted the fan backlash, calling it “bullying” and “vulgar” in a passionate post on X.
Madueke, who scored 11 goals for Chelsea last season, is determined to win over critics through his performances.
He will miss Arsenal’s Asia tour due to Chelsea’s Club World Cup campaign but remains focused on making his mark.
