The Gunners announced Madueke’s £52 million move on Friday, sharing images of the winger in Arsenal gear online.
Among those pictures on Getty Images, eagle-eyed fans spotted an unexpected slip — photos of Mosquera undergoing his arrival interview.
Getty Images, a major sports photography supplier, usually uploads images of new signings after official announcements.
In this case, Mosquera’s images were mistakenly uploaded alongside Madueke’s, revealing the £18 million deal before Arsenal could announce it.
The leak quickly spread on social media before Getty removed the images, but fans had already shared them widely.
Reporter Chris Davison highlighted the error on X, sparking fans to urge Arsenal to confirm Mosquera’s signing immediately, reports Talk Sports.
Mosquera reportedly rejected other Premier League offers, including Bournemouth’s, to join Arsenal.
He will add defensive depth behind William Saliba and Gabriel, becoming Arsenal’s fifth summer signing after Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard.
Meanwhile, Arsenal continue pursuing striker Viktor Gyokeres as they strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
