The report, from Marca journalist Jose Felix Diaz, claims Ronaldo believes Cucurella would strengthen Al-Nassr’s defence in the Saudi Pro League.
Felix is set to become an Al-Nassr player after completing his medical, marking a fresh start after struggles at Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano revealed the transfer includes €20m in potential add-ons and a significant sell-on clause should Felix leave Al-Nassr.
Marc Cucurella joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2022 and has grown into a first-team regular, featuring in 54 matches last season.
He started 36 Premier League games in 2023–24, earning trust from Chelsea’s management and becoming a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge.
Despite competition from Ben Chilwell, Cucurella’s consistency and versatility make him a vital piece of Enzo Maresca’s defensive plans.
Cucurella remains under contract until June 2028, giving Chelsea a strong hand in any negotiations or transfer discussions.
Al-Nassr may struggle to lure him away, but Ronaldo’s influence could still play a role if talks advance, reports Goal.
For now, Felix is the only Chelsea player making the move to the Saudi club.
