The tournament runs from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco, where Salah will captain Egypt in pursuit of continental glory.
After a career-best season with 57 combined goals and assists, Salah helped Liverpool reclaim the Premier League crown and cemented his club legend status.
Now third on Liverpool’s all-time scoring list, Salah recently signed a two-year extension, reaffirming his integral role in the squad.
With Egypt guaranteed three group matches, Salah is expected to miss games against Tottenham (A), Wolves (H), and Leeds (H).
Should Egypt progress, Salah may also miss Fulham (A), Arsenal (A), Burnley (H), and the FA Cup third round fixture.
Additionally, he could miss a Champions League group stage game on January 20/21, bringing his potential absences to eight matches.
Liverpool aren’t alone but United will lose Mbeumo and Amad, City will miss Marmoush, and Chelsea are without Nicolas Jackson, per Echo reports.
Fortunately, Liverpool’s summer transfer strategy was designed to cover Salah’s absence, boosting squad depth ahead of a challenging winter schedule.
