
Manchester City have re-signed goalkeeper James Trafford from Burnley in a £27million deal, marking a major move this summer.

The 22 year old returns two years after leaving City’s academy for Burnley in a £14million transfer, now on a five year contract.
Trafford starred in the Championship last season, earning a Golden Glove and a place in the Team of the Season with 29 clean sheets.
City beat strong competition from Newcastle to land the England Under 21 star, who will now challenge Ederson for the number one spot.
Stefan Ortega is expected to leave, opening up a key opportunity for Trafford to earn first team minutes at the Etihad.
His return also marks a historic moment for Pep Guardiola, who has now become the first manager to spend €2billion in transfers.
Guardiola has made 111 signings across Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City, with Trafford ranking as his 34th most expensive purchase, reports Talk Sports.
The Spaniard leads all managers in total transfer spending, ahead of Diego Simeone, Massimiliano Allegri, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte.
Trafford expressed pride in rejoining his boyhood club, calling City “home” and vowing to grow under Guardiola’s world class leadership.
