After securing Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP, Arsenal have bolstered their attack and are now assessing further options before the new season starts.
Rodrygo has emerged as a top target, but Real Madrid are reportedly demanding €100 million (£86m), which complicates any potential deal.
That price tag has discouraged immediate offers, and so far, Arsenal have not officially approached Real Madrid regarding the Brazilian international.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked, though reports claim Rodrygo views that move as a step down competitively and career-wise.
Liverpool entered the conversation last week, reportedly holding direct talks with Rodrygo’s representatives to explore a possible transfer agreement.
However, those Liverpool links have been denied by The Athletic, which says the club doesn’t see Rodrygo replacing Luis Diaz.
For Arsenal, journalist Ben Jacobs notes that any Rodrygo move depends on the sale of Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli, reports Football London.
Arsenal’s admiration for Rodrygo is clear, but finances and squad adjustments are required to realistically complete a transfer this summer.
Until then, Rodrygo’s future remains uncertain with no clear destination.
