Super Falcons booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a dominant 5-0 win.

The Super Falcons opened the scoring just two minutes in as Osinachi Ohale headed home to stun the Zambian defence early.
Esther Okoronkwo made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute after receiving a clever assist from winger Rasheedat Ajibade on the flank.
Nigeria kept pressing and added a third on the stroke of half-time through Chinwendu Ihezuo, completing a flawless first-half performance.
In the second half, Okoronkwo provided a superb free-kick assist for Tosin Demehin to head in the fourth goal in the 68th minute.
Folashade Ijamilusi added the final goal in stoppage time after more excellent work from captain Ajibade, who claimed her second assist.
Coach Randy Waldrum’s side was clinical and dominant throughout, barely giving the Copper Queens a chance to find rhythm or respond.
Zambia struggled defensively and couldn’t match Nigeria’s intensity, crashing out of the tournament in emphatic and disappointing fashion, reports African Football.
The Super Falcons will now face either South Africa or Senegal in Sunday’s semi-final, confident after a commanding quarter-final performance.
Nigeria, nine-time champions, remain favourites to lift the WAFCON title again after their brilliant showing in Casablanca, Morocco.
